I have a 2001 XTerra with the "double DIN" factory stereo/cd.
Does anyone know who makes an aux input adapter for this stereo so I can connect my Apple Ipod to it? Do I need to install the Ipod to the amplifier and use an A/B switch? Your help is appreciated, thanks. |

Very good question. I too have the factory stereo and was advised that a builtin "FM modulator" would cost the same as a JVC 50x4 watt stereo.
I purchased a Itrip fm modulator and am impressed with the overall quality....$59 Canadian

Aux input not available for Nissan factory stereo
After much searching I have determined the adapter is not available for this radio. At Crutchfield I found two replacement "Double DIN" style radios, both with AUX inputs for an MP3 player: Aiwa WD-X500M and the JVC KW-XC777.
I have an FM modulator and they are not worth the effort. Too much fussing to get the sound consistent. |

Re: Need Aux Input Adapter
I had an 01 xterra with the single CD and tape head unit. USASpec and a couple of other companies have an AUX in adapter for that head unit. It had a very simple name like "AUXNISS"
