New motor mounts suck!!

I have had to replace my late model 2nd generation motor mounts 3 times!!
and that was within a year and a half!

I have switched over to the JTR motor mounts! And after 8 months not one of them have broken or seperated! They are basicly 2.8 v6 mounts with a thicker motor plate , But they work!!

If you are planning on doing any real engine work , that results in more HP seriously think of updating your motor mounts.

Also often overlooked mounts.

Trans mounts!! I have also broken my trans-transfer case housing (adapter). Check you mounts !! A little time now will result in less down time later

Body mounts!! They compress! Rubber sucks! especially old rubber that is cracked and soft. Believe it or not, bad body mounts contribute to your Bad handling! Especially your mounts toward the front of your Blazer.

Check your rear leaf springs! They to have rubber in them! when soft your leaf springs don't get to compress and do what they were designed to do. Meaning that they have to travel a lot more before they can react.

There is so much rubber in our suspension its crazy!

Replace the rubber in your A arms. If they are bad, Which I can almost guarantee. Your steering will be off. And no new idler ,tie rod ends, steering gear, rag joint will help!

In short , if you plan on keeping your Blazer for a while , invest in your mounts. and replace as much rubber as possible!

I myself use polyurethane. Energy suspension can help. It is not affected by oil or other contaminants. Not to mention all of the red looks good!
