89 z24 bad torque converter questions

is the torque converter plug a 4 prong plug

Might be your TCC, as is what I believe is my problem.

Very common problem on these cars. Unplug the connector going into the tranmission. If it now doesn't stall, you have a bad TCC solonoid. You can drive it like this, many say they have driven like this for a long time. In my opinion, as soon as you can fix it, get it done.

can anyone tell me where the plug is to disconnect the torque converter if there is one on a 89 cavalier z24
