removing overhead console

I have a '99 XJ LTD and i cant figure out how to remove the overhead console. I took the two screws out of the front but the back is staying up

Just push it towards the windshield a bit once the screws are out. There are flaps/tabs that hold it up to the headliner backing. You'll see what it is.

I have a JGC 2004 that turns over but won`t start. what do p codes p0320,p1489, p1490 mean ,please help.

ceiland, first if you have a Grand Cherokee, there's a separate forum for that.

That said, here's your codes:

P0320 Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

and from http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troub.../bl_obd_14.htm

P1489 High Speed Fan CTRL Relay Circuit (Chrysler, Jeep) P1490 Low Speed Fan CTRL Relay Circuit (Chrysler, Jeep)

Google is your friend.

So I'd guess that your CPS (crankshaft position sensor) needs to be replace, and that there's something funky about your fan control relay.
