1974 Mustang WIP

this is the fire fighter dragster kit by amt. Heres some pics for now i will take better ones this weekend anyways here it is...mods so far ..nitrous,different drag slicks. i gotta redo some of the interior too,i have too wire the engine aswell, im planning on putting some racing decals on it but i dont know yet..any thoughts? Thanks

Your off to a good start. I would go all the way and put the racing decals on. Make it a true race car.

Honestly Travis, I'd recommend stripping the interior shell and starting over. Those injector pin marks really spoil the appearance, and metal colors will only make them more apparant.

While it might seem depressing and daunting to start over, I agree with L. Keeper completely. You have nice detail there but injector pin marks are too prominent and very distracting. You should always take care of them on any visible part before any work or painting is started.

Can't wait to see this completed--for those who may or may not remember, I built a Pro Stock Mustang II for a competition here on AF Modeling... I bought a regular AMT Mustang II kit, put tons and tons and TONS of work into it, bought resin wheels for it, built a highly detailed 351C, fabricated my own rollcage, the works.

And then, about a week after the competition ended, AMT released this kit.



So uh ya.... good luck, you'll probably end up with as good or better a job as mine, and with a lot less work

yea im gonna redo the interior i forgot all about the marks thanks for bringing that up. it will make the interior just look alot better
