Capri soft top

I've got a 1994 Mercury Capri. I just bought it today and really enjoy this vehicle. One of the major aspects of it is it's a convertible, however I can't manage to get the damn thing to go into it's bloody compartment. Anyone know what to do?

When you fold the top down you have to tuck in the front part or it will stick out and cover won't close.

all righty this is actually harder than you would think, what you have to do is first un latch it and open the compartment then you take the bottom of the top and CAREFULLY place it into the compartment, then you start to fold down the top, but before it is folded down you have to straighten the soft top part so that it is all pushed back (away from the seat) as far as it can go, then it is just a matter of CAREFULLY putting it the rest of the way down and shutting the compartment, if you have any problems message me and i will be glad to help you out!!!

on my 91, as you start to put the top down, you have to push the middle support bar up a little or it won't fold and go down properly. fortunately the previous owner explained this to me. hope that helps

does anyone know when did they quit making the capri? my first vehicle was a `73 with a v-6 and 4 spd . wish i had it now ............LOL just thinking back to the good old days .......lol
