What pisses me off on CarDomain

This just gets on my nerves and I think a lot of you who have your cars on the page will agree. I can't stand it when I post a ton of pics of my own personal hard work, and some jackass with a "nicer" vehicle and LOTS more money to put into it votes down on my car and says that it's a "POS" among other things, just to make it look bad for the whole world to see. And then when I look at that particular critic's ride, I can't help but notice that they had their car taken in to a shop to have all their custom work done! Now, I'm not criticizing anyone for taking their car in to have repairs, custom work or any other services done to them, by all means that's probably the best way to go to have it done right! But for someone to stab at a person who does their own work because they love doing it themself and/or may not have the extra cash to do what they REALLY want...perhaps because they have a FAMILY to support...that's just wrong, and they should consider themselves fortunate to be in the position they're in. Some of us actually work for a living, (yeah, that means no drugs involved, also) still love car stuff no matter how much it may cost to do as a hobby, and we don't need to to be snobby assholes to be enthusiasts.

I know what you mean. As long as you care about your car, thats all that really matters, although its nice to get compliments.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. That's why I usually have to limit making fun of ricers...you know deep down in your heart that the kid who put that 50ft. aluminum wing on his '92 stock Tercel probably spent half the year dreaming about it and the other half saving up for it, so it's not nice to talk smack about it (unless he's being a real phallus). There'll always be some other guy with a better car but a worse attitude, you can't let that get to you.

I'm sooooo glad you brought the topic up. It's so true. Sure a person might have a nice car/truck, but DAAAADDY bought it for them. I may not have the best cars in the world, but I saved my hard earned money and bought them. I like them and that's all I care about!

A lot of the cars on cardomain are ricemobiles owned by high school students anyway. Never take what dumbasses like that say to heart.

cardomain in general is a waste of time, most of the people on there are kids obsessed with how cars look and not actual performance.

Re: What pisses me off on CarDomain

A. Who cares what others think? If you're happy, what else do you want? Did you build it for you? Or other people?

B. Don't take the internet so seriously. Anonymous voting of you're car, and the fact that the outcome hurts you leads me back to point A.

C. Cardomain is still around? Damn...

D. Refer to points A and B.

E. Repeat point D until eyes bleed.

Immaturity is everywhere. You know, no mature person will care about how your car's been rated. They'll look at the car, and see your work.

Re: What pisses me off on CarDomain

it's jealously.

they're pissed off because they can see you've done the work yourself and they had to take their car to a shop to have the work done.

take pride in the fact that it was all your own work and you're not stooping to the level of someone whose envy gets the better of them.
