'96 Talon oil dipstick

The plastic on the original broke. I ordered a new one from Mitsubishi. I did check the lenght before I threw the old one away but not the placement of the notches to check the level.
I add the oil to the indicated level but it still doesn't sound right and the pressure doesn't indicate full pressure.
Does anyone know if the notches are different on the different sticks?
When answering please remember I don't work on the car myself.

Your car holds 4.5 quarts of oil. If you put in about 4 quarts it will read full though. How many bottles did you put in?

Re: '96 Talon oil dipstick

I did the exact same thing and broke the plastic off not too long ago on the gsx and had to order a new dipstick. The one that i got from the dealer matched exactly. Id say as long as u got it from the dealer u should be good. But if ur still in doubt, i would do as said above.
