leather seat help

My 97 lesabre which I just purchased has beautiful leather seats..........except for one 10 inch cut into the leather . Its not completely
cut through.....you can see the "mesh" backing. My question is ,can this type of cut be fixed? Are there any products out there that could seal and preserve this cut ? Or do I have to just put a seat cover on and hope it doesn't rip totally through? I know their is a lot of interior specialists out there...............please help!!!!!

thanks
go eagles(next year)

Re: leather seat help

"Mesh backing" sounds like vinyl. Leather would not have a backing. Are you sure, it is leather? You should be able to tell by the RPO code on the spare tire cover. Anyway, I will send you a PM with some info on this.

Re: leather seat help

You proubbly have a cut in the vinyl part of the seat.. Synthetic leather parts of the seat where other parts are leather.. The whole seat isnt leather.

Good Luck
