miss at idle
got a 99 windstar 3.8 motor. new plugs, wires, the po171 update. car runs perfect,except it has a miss in the motor, only at idle, once the rpms are up a bit, runs perfect, anyone else have this happen??

Re: miss at idle
Very common cause of this is dirty fuel injectors....causing less than perfect fuel spray into the intake.
Try a can of Berryman's Chemtool B-12 fuel system cleaner. It comes in a metal can, white with blue and red printing. This is a solvent based cleaner that is stronger than the detergent based cleaners, such as Chevron Techron (which is also a good lighter duty cleaner).
