NHRA SP/RWD will get a bit more competitive

There is someone building an S2000 for NHRA SP/RWD class. Currently this car holds the 1/4 record of 10.7, but then he broke his transmission so he pretty much rebuilt the car over the winter.

He hasn't released a lot of details about his car, but here is what he has said:

-he put down 800+ rwhp on his "small" turbo. Hasn't dynoed the big one yet
-he is using a 15k rpm motorcycle tach
-here is his driveshaft:

oops, I mean this:

-he's hoping for 8's

The car:

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
