Door Locks 2006 Silverado

Can somebody please help me out before I go nuts? How do you disable the door locks on the 2006 Silverado? I have read the manual and can't find it. Thanks.

I had the same gripe about my 2006, and just got it resolved.

Around September 2006, GM updated the software for the body control module to allow disabling the automatic door locks. This is reference #PIT 3189C - click here for the text: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1440682

You'll have to take the truck back to the dealer, tell them this is a customer complaint, and you want the auto door locks disabled. The dealer will reload the software and disable them for you. They just did it for me.

Too bad you have to un-engineer the Silverado to make it useful. I've already pulled the DRL bulbs to get rid of that annoying feature. Now if there was a fix for auto-headlamps I'd be happy.
