98 Malibu cig. lighter and accessory outlet problem

Ok so they do not work. All my fuses in the panel are ok none broken or anything. Does anyone know what the problem could be. I really need my radar detector back. Someone please give me some ideas. Could it be a relay under the hood that I need to change? Thanks.

Re: 98 Malibu cig. lighter and accessory outlet problem

I searched the forums for 'malibu cig lighter.'

Read through this thread. There's a fuse under the hood for that circuit. With hood open, standing on driver's side next to the wheel, the fuse box is to the right of the airbox. Unscrew the knob to remove the cover. Inside the cover is a diagram and numbered list of the enclosed fuses/relays.

Hopefully, if the fuse is blown, you don't have a short circuit. Electrical problems can be a bummer.

Thank you for all the help. I did find the fuse under the hood #34. It did not spark when we plugged in the new fuse so hubby said there was not a short anywhere. Thank you.
