accord check engine light
2001 accord ex
I got into accident last week so I took my car to this one local body shop to fix and paint my fender. I left my car there for 3 days. I got my car back today. I could feel that my car is not normal and someone at the body shop use my car (they drive and use up 30 something miles). I could feel the loud engine vibration of the car (my car does vibrate but not loud and strong like today). After driving for a while, my engine check light went on. Do you guy think the body shop mess around with my car? and is there anyway to turn off the check engine light? |

Re: accord check engine light
Check engine light is triggered by many many many things. It is quite possible that the body shop drove your car around, but that doesn't necessarily mean they caused it. It very easily could have been caused by the accident. The first step is to hook up a scanner and get hte code retrieved to figure out exactly what is causing the check engine light. You could go do a dealership and pay them $70 to plug in the scanner and retrieve the code, or you could go to your local Autozone where htey will do it for free.
Once you get the trouble code, let us know what it is and we can go from there.
