Clutch / Trasmission problems

I've got a 2000 chevy single cab, manual 5 speed. A couple of weeks ago it became very difficult to get in and out of gear and the clutch pedal has lost alot of it's resistance. There are no leaks that I can find. To my knowledge the clutch doesnt seem to be going out because when i do get the thing in gear the clutch engages as soon as i lift the pedal off the floor. It seems to me like it's a fluid problem but that might just be wishful thinking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That truck has a hydraulic clutch, I would check the fluid level.
Check the clutch master cylinder for proper operation.
Usually the slave cylinder is the culprit
