HID Upgrade
I'm looking into doing a HID upgrade for my 95 jimmy (composite 9006,9005). If anyone has it I would just like to see some pictures of the beam spread from the drivers seat and staring at it like i was driving at the truck. Also i was thinking about doing my high beams too. Will it hurt the bulb, ballast, ignitor or any other part by flipping it on and off (I did the quad beam conversion so my lows stay on with my highs). I'm looking at either a Phillips or McCulloch conversion. Any suggestions, pictures, and hints will be helpfull.
And before anyone says anything about me blinding people, i drive mostly back country roads where there aren't that many people and i actually dim my highs when people are coming at me. |

Re: HID Upgrade
I would suggest getting the OEM 4300k. Also make certain that you get the 9006 bulbs rebased with D2R bulbs. Not the D2S. D2S is for a projector style housing. There is no shield on it so the light scatters and blinds people.
So long as you get the D2R bulbs you won't have to worry about blinding people. |
