95 Monte Carlo- ABS light comes on when left signal put on.

Sometimes my ABS light comes on when I put my left turn signal on. My ABS brake system is disabled while the light is on. When I restart my car and lock the brakes on ice, the ABS will work again. Am I missing something simple or does it sound like a complex electrical issue?

sounds like a bad multifunction switch in the steering column. When they fail, they can back feed voltage through the system and affect other components. It's a fairly common issue on these cars, although this is the first I've heard of causing an ABS issue.

very same thing came up on my 95 one time. Along with the cruise shutting off when signaling right(not left). It was the signal switch in the collum.
