mounting aftermarket seats
i was looking at the nismo leather racing seats on ebay, they come with universal sliders. Will these bolt up in the s13 or do i need different brackets? Where can i get brackets for aftermarket seats?

Re: mounting aftermarket seats
Post up the link. I don't think the seats are genuine nismo; the brackets MIGHT bolt directly on (ebay), but people usually custom make their brackets to keep the sliders/recliable settings on the seats.

Re: mounting aftermarket seats
yea there most likely fake nismo's. Iv seen those bitches on there before. Fake seats are not safe just so you know. But they usually will tell you what type of bracket you need. Or you just have to go custom like stated.

Re: mounting aftermarket seats
Yeah, you probably want to make sure they're genuine. But if they are, they should probably bolt right up. From what I've read 240s and skylines generally aren't too install friendly with aftermarket seats, but nismo seats shouldn't have the same problems since they were made to use a seat rail designed by Nissan.

Re: mounting aftermarket seats
i had racing seats in my hatch, it was such a bitch of a job. i fabbed up some plates that could be mounted to the seat itself, then fabbed up brackets that i welded to the plates that mounted right to where the seat bolts go. although my knee was touching the steering wheel at times and my head close to the headliner, they kept me in there pretty snug. s13 cockpit is def not aftermarket-seat friendly, but if you go from using bulky racing seats for a while then back to stock s13 seats, youll feel like your sitting on the floor lol

Re: mounting aftermarket seats
usually a good racing seat lowers your sitting position compared to stock.......thus making a slightly lower center of gravity.
