emergency brake adjustment
How do you adjust the emergency brake on the '05 Freestar?

I don't know the answer to your question .. but it might be covered in the owner's glove box manual. ??
I did want to suggest the following somewhat related item. If you use your handbrake frequently (I do) you may find the hand control eventually working itself loose from the floorboard. I caught my '99 Windstar's just before it totally broke away from the floorboard. I ended up fashioning a couple of reinforcing nut-plates (from an old mover blade) that were installed underneath to resecure the thing. |

What condition are the rear brakes in? The parking prake uses the regular brake pads and caliper to hold the vehicle. Are the rotors rusted?
