Help! Dealer screwed me over. Can't reprogram key
I lost all the keys to my van. I called the dealer and they told me they would cut a key for me and tell me how to reprogram it myself to my van (I purchased the PK3 key on eBay for $12). They cut the key for me for $25 and told me to go to the service desk and they would tell me how to program it to my van. The guy there told me it would cost me another $80 to have them reprogram the computer in my van plus whatever it would cost to have them tow it to their dealer. Is there any possible way to reprogram the van myself? I can't afford to have them do this to me. Is there any possible way to program the key to my van without another key myself?? Thanks

You didn't mention what year your van is, but you might want to try the procedure here: PK3 Programming Let us know what happens. Take Care,

Re: Help! Dealer screwed me over. Can't reprogram key
Thank you. I'll try it (but not now because it's really really really cold and snowy and windy). I'll try in a bit. Just FYI: I have a 2000 Pontiac Montana, the extended version. It's pretty well loaded, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Re: Help! Dealer screwed me over. Can't reprogram key
If you truly have lost "ALL" your keys then the dealership is probably correct. You need at least one (1) original key (two for Canadian version) to program additional keys.
