90 accord doors constantly unlock
My 1990 accord power door locks are constantly unlocking themselves and draining my battery. I've done a little research using these forums and have figured it may be a power lock actuator. The problem is I don't know if there is one unit that controls all doors or if I have to troubleshoot each door. Could it be as simple as bad contacts/pins? Is there a troubleshooting path for the system (ie. 1. front driver side, 2. front pass. side, etc.)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 90 accord doors constantly unlock
From working on my accord, I can tell you that it could be a few things. Its unlikely that its a loose cord. If that were the case then it would not lock or unlock at all. It could be the box connected to the front controls that locks and unlocks the doors. It could be the driver side lock, which causes all the locks to unlock when not locked right. I would try and open up the driver door first to see if anything is jamming the lock or if anything looks funny. Then change out the actuator if needed, and finally go through all the doors if needed to check for any damages or suspicious signs. It might help to add more of a description to the symptoms you are experiencing. Try some different things and tell us what happens. Good luck.

Sorry it took so long to respond. Thanks for the info, I hope to be able to take a further look at it this weekend. I'll post whatever I figure out.
