EGR valve OEM number

while i'm redoing the throttle body, I am going to put in a new EGR valve, but I remember the last one I did, I had a real hard time finding the right model given the many OEM numbers that are out there and you need to match.

I dinked around with putting the little washers in and I don't even know if I put in the right size ones..(never really had any issues, so i must have).

Is there an egr valve that comes is the right model/OEM that I don't have to fit washers and play around with it? How do I know which OEM number I would need? The auto part stores seem limited to these universal versions.

If it is the original engine have your dealer run the vin no and get the right one.
Some of them old ones had pos and neg egr valves.
Dealer oem parts will only hurt on time
