Re: stock amp

drivers side rear quater panel...
you have to take off the interior rear panel...
pop off the long strip by the side skirts, careful not to break it...

then itll expose where you deed to pull to get the quater panel off...
theyre all clips (i dont think theres any screws) and you can jus pop em back on...

why whats wrong with the stock amp...

ohh and only the 03+s with the infinity/ jbl system have amps...

Re: stock amp

yeah i got the infinity system, reason is because i put in a after market radio and it was good for a couple weeks then i was cruisin down the street and smelled what seemed to be a amp burning out and out went the sound. i hooked the stock radio back up and still no sound so im narrowing it down to the amp. do you know if it has a fuse? if it doesnt im gonna bypass it. i also found that the amp supplys all the speakers.

Re: stock amp

is there a control for the power on the amp... I'd like my sub to hit a lil harder. I've already done the lil wire switch trick, and i didn't get much improvement!

then you wont get any more thump form the stock sub...

youll need an aftermarket amp, and a afternmarket sub set up if you want the subs to hit harder

why would you want top bypass when you can replace it?
if youre not gonna be using it why not take it out?

Re: about the stock infiniti amp bypass

Unfortunately you can not bypass the new infinity amps. They are ran on a databus system that there is no bypass for. It can only be ran off of the factory deck. You will have to run all your speaker leads separately off of your new deck.

Re: about the stock infiniti amp bypass

Unfortunately you can not bypass the factory amp because it is ran off of a databus system. The most sophisticated part of the tiburon is the stereo if you can believe that. There is no bypass for the data bus systems. You will have to run all of your leads individually to each speaker off of your new deck. I did it not too hard. you have to drill holes for the leads in the doors though.

Re: stock amp

cant you just run speaker wire from the aftermarket radio to the factory amy outputs to the speakers instead of runnung speaker wire through the doors and all of that extra crap.

Re: stock amp

On the 03's yes can. But the stock speaker wire is light gauge.
