Idle RPM'S?

Hey
Just wondering what the idiling RPMS on a 2002 Chevy Cavalier Z24 5 SPD should be? Mine is just under 1,000? Is there anything wrong?

Thanks

Lewis

Re: Idle RPM'S?

That seems about right. Why is there a problem?

Re: Idle RPM'S?

Im not sure. My gf's Probe idle's at about half the RPMs as mine. I just thought it was a little bit odd. Maybe not.

Thanks

Re: Idle RPM'S?

Depends, does it run at that speed when u just start it and the engine is "cold"? The revs will drop a couple hundred once the car warms up. I wudnt worry about it even if its under 1k warmed up, under 1k is A-O-K in my books. Every car is setup differently etc etc..
