IAC Valve Test? - Found one, link inside!
I just did the isolator bolt fix and that seems to have fixed my lean condition but I still am having a cold weather stalling problem.
Essentially, the engine (2000 3.8) will stall immediately when I take my foot off the gas when it is approx. 40-deg F or lower. If I let it warm up for 5 mins or so it eventually stops and runs and idles fine. On cooler days (40-50 deg F) it won't stall completely but the revs drop to around 500 or so and will sometimes bounce back and forth between 500-1000. When the revs drop so low the battery light comes on before stalling. Based on my reading here on AF I tried cleaning the IAC but that doesn't seem to have done anything. Is there a way to actually test the IAC before plunking down the $$ for a new one without knowing for sure if this is the problem? Also, does anyone know what the PCM reflash does that is associated with TSB 03-16-1? I haven't had this done and wonder if I should, from reading here it appears most do not get this done. Thanks! Re: IAC Valve Test?
OK, I found this site and am posting here for reference. This seems to be a pretty comprehensive electrical test for your IAC Valve to determine if it is bad and needs replaced or just needs cleaned.

Nice! I'll have to bookmark that site for future reference. Thanks for finding that one.
