Unhappy Is this Normal??

97 Chevy Blazer 4.3 4 door auto 4wd.

My rear leaf springs seem a little tired. Is this normal? Can this be fixed?

yes the leaf springs will sag over time. you could put in an add-a-leaf to stiffen them up but it would probably be cheaper to replace them.

Re: Is this Normal??

I kind of thought that this something that happens over time. I have been looking at others around town and it seems like this is not an uncomon thing.

Is the dealer the best place for replacement springs.. I want normal ride height and normal stiffness.

If you want to spend a bundle.

Take a look around town and find a suspension place. Your leafs can be re-arched, or you can get a new set.

look in the yellow pages to see if there is a spring works shop in your area. they heat, re-arch and temper the leaf springs to the origional specs for a lot less than new ones. if you can't find one there ask around at suspension and custom speed shops. you can save even more if you take them off and re-install them yourself.
