99 Kia Sportage Timing Belt

I JUST PUT A NEW TIMING BELT IN AND THE CAR IS RUNNING ROUGH COULD IT BE BECAUSE IT SAT FOR A MONTH OR IS THERE SOMETHING MORE IT NEEDS. I TOOK THE INSTRUCTIONS OFF THIS SITE (THANK YOU THEY WERE A BIG HELP) i APPRICIATE ANY ADVICE YOU ALL CAN GIVE ME

Recheck your Tbelt and make sure that all the marks line up. After that if it sat for a while I would let the vehicle run for at least 20 mins. You also may consider adding fuel to the tank.

Gasoline turns to varnish over time and loses its flashpoint ability.

Question Re: 99 Kia Sportage Timing Belt

I have a 98 kia sportage and i'm trying to install a timing belt and water pump. I need to know how the timing marks line up. can anyone please help me/
