problem with transmission (eighty eight)
hi i am asking for someone else i know.
he has a 1995 oldsmobile eighty eight. when he starts his car and puts it into "D" for the first time, the car runs fine. when he finish getting to his destination and he tries to park he puts it into "R" and it works fine but lets say he needs to move up some more while he is still trying to parallel park and he puts it back into "D" from "R" and his engine just dies. what could be the problem?

What is the maintenance routine on the car?
What things has he fixed/replaced? When was the last tune up? We need more info than that to answer your question.
