Brake job - 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe
Okay, I've put it off long enough. I need to do a brake job on my Civic, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it. If someone could give me advice on what I need and how to do it, I would appreciate it. I know I need new rotors and pads for the front and new shoes for the rear drums. But I don't know how to take any of this apart or know how to put it back together (correctly). I've heard ceramic pads are best, but maybe someone has a different opinion. Keep in mind I can't afford to go all out. I'm not looking for the cheapest parts, but something in the middle will suit me fine. Thanks for your help.

Re: Brake job - 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe
Get you a service manual for your car, even a Haynes from an
auto parts store will show you everything you need to know. There's a lot of difference between doing a simple pad change and doing a thorough brake job. And doing it completely will take volumes here.
