sofa~~~~ man this is god dammmmmmmn beautiful!!!!superb!!!you did everything perfectly on this classic prancing horse!!!that's simply masterpiece man!i love it!!!but seems the aperture was a little bigger in some of your pics,so you cant get the whole car in the focus.a little pity.

Re: Completed Revell 288GTO

very nice build! It actually looks more muscular with those wheels...not bad! How was the fit/quality of the kit?

Great job! The paint is so nice!
It could be a bit lower but I know you were only building it straight from the box. Any problems with the fit of the body / chassis?

Re: Completed Revell 288GTO

Thank you all for viewing and your kind compliments.

auw12,
I need to practice taking more pictures to get the right lighting and focus.

Jeymes,
The fit was not too bad for the body to the chassis. But for the engine parts. It is like pulling your hair off everytime you want to put the parts together. Overall, Revell is a Revell more or less expected.

Rob,
I knew there will be a problem about the hight but I was way too lazy to do anything about it. Wished I had the extra effort to sort it out.

Once again thank you all for viewing! Cheers!

wow... the paint is phenomenal. i've always thought the 308-series boody was one of ferrari's/pinifinaria's best designs. 30 years on and it still looks great.

Re: Completed Revell 288GTO

CeeElle,

Thank you for your compliments on the paint work. I had always like the 308 body eversince I watched Magnum P.I. movie. I had opportunities to drive a 328GTB many years ago whenever my ex-boss is not in town. I am instructed to drive the car for 15 minutes twice a week. Wow! it was fun.

Gamerxz,
I actually saw one of these 288GTO in Vauxhall in South London and it was up for sale in one of the classic car dealer While I was looking for an Aston Martin DB S for my Boss. I took it for a drive and I was totally speechless. You cannot imagine the power of the horses under the hood. It was something worth dreaming for. Sometime it is better to own one of these old devils then a brand new F430. It has some real charater.

Once again. Thank you guys for viewing and your kind comments.

Very, very nicely built. Revell kits almost always come out looking toyish without effort, however this one's a beaut!!!

Thanks Raikkobin for your kind compliments. It is truly rewarding taking a sort off a crap model kit and turning it into some real looker. It gives me great satisfaction.
