Question Camshaft/Crankshaft sensors

I found out that I need to replace my camshaft and crankshaft sensors on my 96 Subaru Legacy wagon. The crankshaft one looks easy enough, but I don't know about the camshaft one. Has anyone done this one and have some advice on it? Thanks!

Re: Camshaft/Crankshaft sensors

I would suggest you take it to the dealership and let them do it themselves. Its about a 300 dollar job, but it has to be done right

Re: Camshaft/Crankshaft sensors

They aren't that big of a deal...As long as you have a little patience, you can do both sensors.. Cam is going to be in one of the heads, probably towards the front of the car. Try thehead on the left side.. Also, Do your sensor one at a time.. I know it sounds stupid but you will not mix up the sensors evey though they have the same color connector, so connectors fit in other place. You never know...
