Body Lift

I've got a 96 4x4, and am planning on doing a body lift soon. I'm gonna bo with the 3" lift. What am I going to have to lengthen/replace/modify for it to work? Is it the same chassis as the 4Runner? If so, then can I follow 4Runner info for a body lift? Thanks
