Question 4g63 heads on a 4g37

Would 4g63 heads fit on a 4g37 block and if so would it improve performance?I tried to find an old topic based on my thread but nothing came up.Sorry if i am reposting/dead threads.

I higly doubt it but the only way to really find out is to try it yourself.

Yeah, I dont think it would and I dont think I've ever heard of someone trying. Looks like you got yourself a weekend project.

Re: 4g63 heads on a 4g37

Yeah I guess if I ever get some free time I will find some 4g63 heads and see what I can do with them.I mean I kinda wanted to see if I could some how bring out the little beasts in my 1.8. My 91 eclipse had alot of power but the fuel system had been modded and the Ecu tweaked.I smoked my brother in his Nissan Sentra with that car and he had the 2.0....shit kinda got off topic

Yeah thats a great Idea Mike I think I will do a little google search and look to see if the bolt pattern matches up.I remember seeing this guy building a 1.8 using pieces of a 2.0 on the web.I am not sure if it worked though.

Re: 4g63 heads on a 4g37

Well just looking at the heads from the pic I would say I dont think its gonna work. But I am pretty sure a little cutting and modding would make them fit.You guys give me your oppinion.I dont have much money to fix up my 4g63 talon so I wanted to fix up my 1.8...yeah yeah I know WEAK!!,but its all you can do when you dont make alot of money and you got a family lol.(Will sell Talon for $400)Pm if interested
