Question engine choices

I currently own a 1990 s-10 blazer w/ a 4.3. I want a more powerful engine but I don't know which engine to go with. I have seen a few swaps with the 3.4 DOHC. it is strange but seems to run great. I have driven one with such a swap and was quite impressed. not sure what is neccessary for the swap though. I was also thinking about a 383 stroker, which is more powerful, but it is quite a bit heavier. I have the suspension set up for the best handling I can get with the 4.3, so the 383 might through off my adjustments. I have owned a z34 with the 3.4 that was producing massive power ant quick E.T.'s such as [email protected]. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am still new to the s10 seen.

Re: engine choices

Why not a 305 or a 350? The SBC only weighs about 45-50 lbs. more than the V6.

Re: engine choices

383 stroker is by far one of the best engines known to man!
