WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

Like the Title says, I'm looking to buy a

1g Turbo FWD (F5m33, NOT F5m22) transmission

for my '91 Talon Tsi

PM me a price... but I'd like to get one for $200-250 (what I can get them for locally, but we're all out at the moment)

^Scratch that... I'm willing to pay $450-500 for one(plus shipping)

Shipping will be to 27882(Spring Hope, NC), please (if you can) include a shipping quote
(^you should be able to, you're gonna have to ship it!)

Re: WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

Well, I'm willing to pay that... but the local DSM guy (has his own junkyard and repair shop) sold me the N/T tranny for $200, not realizing that it wasn't the Turbo tranny... He didn't have any more tranny's at the moment... so I'm supposed to get up with him and bring the N/T back...

JapanEngine.com quoted me $650 shipped... but I was trying to cut some expenses... I'm running outta money, and am only a/b $1k away from having the car running again...

Re: WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

I'll check out their site and get a quote...

The sad part is, my tranny is still fine... just my Bellhousing got F*cked up....

Oh, and the bellhousing is a/b $200 used... so it's not worth just buying the bellhousing...

Re: WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

Those transmissions(F5m22) would bolt up, but they don't have tapered bearings like the turbo transmissions (F5m33) and wouldn't hold up...

I already have a non-turbo tranny sitting in the yard... but I'm taking it back to get my money back, b/c it simply won't last... especially at 17lbs boost

Re: WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

yeah, I found the FWD for $650 shipped... prolly be a/b a week w/shipping... but I just found noyanusa.com ... up in VA, they say 1 day shipping... I'm waiting on a price quote... I'll probably go that route...

in the mean time, I'll order the supporting hardware/fluids... and prep the car for reassembly... then when I got the money straight order the trans, and do it the next day/night...

Re: WTB: 1G Turbo FWD 5spd Trans

I didn't really wanna give the link, I didn't want my ebay account just floating around on forums...

That's my business account, and I've already had problems with ID theft in the past...

but no, supposedly the tranny was an import for a project... but he sold the car... and it's supposed to have a/b 50k on it... so I'm hoping...

As I've said before, I have the internals, but I don't wish to have to crack it open to swap them out...
