351C w/ a 94

hey i kno a guy whos rebuilding a 351 cleveland and i was wondering if i could get it cheap...how much would it coast to go from a carb. to fuel injected? how bad would it hurt my mpg too. and also would the tranny built for the 302 be good enough to handle that 351?
thanks
alex

The tranny will depend on what all is being done to the 351c. The fuel system you need depends again on the power level of the 351c. The mpg depends also on the power level / fuel requirements of the 351c. We need more details. Also the swap will make for a very snug fit. You would probably be better off just to mod the 5.0.

Yes I'd say it will be over $1k. But you would have more to deal with than just the fuel system swap. You would have to fit that big wide clev into your compact '94 engine bay.

i know its possible though ive seen a 95 with a 351 at a car show here in town once. Instead of doin a whole engine im thinkin bout puttin cleveland heads on my 302 and boring it all the way out.

Bad idea for a street car. I have a Boss 302, I should know

you can buy 302 cleveland heads too, they used to have a 302c in australia.

You would be better off I'd say to mod the 5.0. The 351 you saw n the '95 was probably a 351w. I have a 351w in my '87, stats in sig.

But for your 5.0 just get a set of AFR 165's, E303 cam, a decent (better than cobra/gt40) intake, buy a 255 inline fuel pump, and get a tune. I'm not sure what injectors your '94 has but I'd say 24's would do the job just fine. Thats about the build I will do 1 day just for a fun little 5spd street car that can run in the 12's. Dont get me wrong my car has great street manners, you just have to watch your step lol.
