Re: ARP's...
-Index for Tech Articles-
I do believe you can find info on the ARP's and their torque specs here. ![]() I'm so glad we finally have a tech section.

Re: ARP's...
Hold on you bastard... lol
**EDIT** I want you to know that my drunk ass stumbled down 3 flights of stairs for this. Then I proceeded to move all my motor internals just so I could get to the paper in the ARP box for you... This is gonna take a while to type it all correctly... Oh, and I'll bolded the important parts for you... Installation Method for Head stud kits 190,000 PSI 12MM Diameter 1. To ensure proper thread engagement and accurate torque readings, clean and retap ALL threads in the block. Retap only if neccessary. 2. Clean and inspect all hardware prior to installation. Look for obvious defects or shipping damages, plus proper fit, length and dimension. 3. A. If cylinder head studs protrude into water jacket, lubricate the block threads of the studs with ARP Moly Lube or 30wt. motor oil. B. If cylinder head studs protrude into blind hold, lubricate the threads, nuts and washers with ARP Moly Lube or 30wt. motor oil. C. Screw studs into the block "HAND TIGHT ONLY" 4. Install cylinder heads and check for binding or misalignment. 5. ARP recommends using the ARP Moly Lube or at the very least, a good quality Moly Lube as opposed to motor oil. This is due to higher friction on the studs as well as inconsistencies in the clamping force of the fastners when motor oil (or low quality lubricant) is used. PRELOAD TORQUE RECOMMENDATIONS: Torque values are based on 75% of the fastners yield strength. Use the manufacturers torque sequence but do not use the engine manufacturers torque specs. Torque the nuts to 80 ft. lbs for ARP MOLY Assembly Lubricant (or the ARP Thread Sealer) or torque to 120 ft. lbs with 30wt motor oil. So there you have it... Straight from ARP themselves... You can send me another 40 cause this one is gone... via UPS... No Fedex... They piss in my driveway... Bastards...

Re: ARP's...
I added a little more detail in a post I made here. It is also on the Tech Pages on my site.
ARPs website lists the torque specs for every stud based on tensile strength and diamter. The DSM studs are 190 psi, 11mm for 7 bolt, 12mm for 6 bolt. Very easy to look it up on thier site.
