PMA 1/43 Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 2007

here is my newest build for anyone to view.

this is my first build with the much improved Provence Miniatures. this is the Mitsubishi Lancer WRC in the Open version

onto the car. the Resin is quite superb, a couple air bubbles but underneath.

as you can see the car is just under 4 inches in length

one thing PMA has done an exceptional job on is the tires, they used to be a piece of junk, now they have brake detail and much better rims. Rims are resin, brakes are PE and the back piece is turned metal

just have to put the BF Goodrich branding on them

here is the pic of the real car I'll will be making, its Toni's car from the 2007 Rallye Monte Carlo which he took 8th place overall

enjoy

Interesting build. Are the interior parts resin or white metal?

hi,

the roll cage is white metal, along with the fire extinguishers, the steering wheel, and a few other parts.

then everything else is Resin or Photo etch.

Re: PMA 1/43 Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 2007

update,

Decalling done on the main body and doors. I have yet to work on the rear spoiler and trunk.

Carbon Fiber is from SMS, Red is TS-49 from Tamiya, (my second attempt)

the Koti Idea Branding on the doors and the rear was all in one decal (theversion was not intended to be the open version, car #27 of X. Pons was with the Burger King Livery), I had to carefully cut each one right, lucky I got it right on the first try adn didn't have to use the second decal sheet
PMA give you.

Cheers,
Steve

Nice work on the decals. Complex shapes and 1/43rd do not always go well together!

Looking good Steve, these new PMA cars certainly have a fair bit of detail for a 1/43

Re: PMA 1/43 Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 2007

quick update, so enjoy

tires are finished

seats are all finished, haven't started on the seatbelts yet?

Interior started

dryfit with seats

inside doors CF and pic of Trunk

PMA did a great job, but the lenses were way too small, so I just was silver paint, it looks fine, so lucky it was 1/43 or else it would look horrible

test fit with Tires

please comment, good or bad, anything that maybe I missed or did something wrong

Re: PMA 1/43 Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 2007

Hi

I don't have anything to comment on.
This just looks awesome. It's almost unbelievable that this is a 1/43rd kit.

Well, I do have one comment... It's the "wrong" driver. It should have been Gigi Galli's car...
But that's just pulling your leg. I'm glad that Toni Gardemeister is driving again this year. Too bad that the SX4 is still some way from being competitive...

Keep up the good worK !
