Question Re: Power Window Regulator

Then at the door grip handle there is a small plastic cover. Remove cover and it will expose two screws that need to be removed. After that you'll need to pull on the edges of the door panel to get the plastic push on clips out. There is a door panel removal tool available to make the job easier. I was able to remove mine without the tool but it would be a good idea to get some new replacement plastic push clips. Once panel looks free all you do is lift up and then pull out. See link below:

Goods info and link, thanks. I have a question. How difficult is it to get the regultor out too? I have a '97 Regal GS with 109753 miles. The front RT reg/motor is gone and the rear LT.

Sorry for bumping this older post.

Re: Power Window Regulator

I recall there should be a few rivets that need to be drilled out holding the window motor/regulator assembly to the doorframe. During installation just use new screws/bolts and nuts that fit to secure the regulator where the rivets were used.

Re: How to Remove Power Window Regulator '97 Regal

Got both regulators/motor swaped out. It took about 20 min per door. Unfortunatly the new motors had no where near the amount of torque to rise the window. So I had to put in the original motors back in (lesson learned), fron a EBAY sale.
