Ferrari 60th Anniversary Build:Monogram 308GTB
This is my first Ferrari for the 60th Anniversary build. It's the Monogram Ferrari 308GTB. This kit was produced in 1980. It's a very simplified kit but the molding is good and the body shape is very good also.
Here's the box: ![]() The contents - yes that's ALL the parts: ![]() Overall the body is good and has the right shape. There are a few sink marks to be filled. One thing that needs to be done is a panel line scribed in at the base of the C pillar / engine cover and extended back to the edge of the body. The kit doesn't have the panel line and therefore no way to open the engine cover. Never mind that little scratch where my saw slipped ![]() ![]() The other thing I found wrong with the body when comparing it to pictures of the real car is the solid piece on the center of the engine cover. On the real car it appears to be taller than the vents that surround it. I cut a piece of sheet plastic and glued it on top of the molded piece and then beveled the edges to give it the right shape. May be a little too tall now but better than it was. ![]() ![]() Undecided on color for now. I really like this car in sliver but as a kid the first time I saw one it was red and that bright red has burned the image of the first Ferrari I'd ever seen into my memory, so it may end up red. Thanks for looking, more updates soon.

HUGE parts count!
![]() I guess this kit will present its own challenges anyway - even without lots of parts. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

I'll give you 5 bucks for it
![]() Looking good. I say "silver" because the first one I ever saw was silver w/red interior and that image is seared into my memory ![]()

Looks good Eric. I recieved this kit for Christmas and was surprised how nice it is. Very low parts count but I think it has alot of potential. Looking forward to seeing this build up.
