Axles
I'm looking some axles...
I don't know what to buy... What will the stock one's handle? I'm looking to have a 16-20G on the car... and I don't wanna snap any... what's the best out there... for my money anyways... I don't wanna spend more than $300 for a set...

Re: Axles
Stock axles should be more than fine for a 16g-20g application.
They are rather inexpensive, I think like 50 bucks an axle, just make sure you get a left side and right side one, because IIRC they are slightly different length wise.

Re: Axles
ok, I just wanted to make sure... I think that auto parts warehouse has them the cheapest, coming in at a/b $68 a piece (or that's what I've been able to find)...

Sounds like a pretty solid deal. And worse case senario if you snap one, replacement isn't expensive. If you wanted to get more inexpensive axles, you could always go to a junkyard or find a DSM shop in your area, they probably have axles laying around that they would sell you for nothing.

Re: Axles
ok, one more question... are the axles the same between the NT and the turbo, how a/b the same between the AWD and the FWD, since I'm only looking front axles anywayz...

I'm pretty sure they are all unique. But don't quote me on that I'm not 100% sure. I just remember when I went and bought CV boots for my axles that I had to get the exact boot for my model. Wether that means that the boots are universal or are only limited to my model I don't know. I know the NT ones are different from the 4g63 ones for sure. Let me try and find out if the axles are different and I'll edit here and post what I find, just give me a few. After a little search It appears that the AWD axles are only unique to the AWD. So you'll have to get an axle for AWD cars. Also I found that with stock axles you should be good to about 400hp.
