94 laser with Hyundai 4g63?
hey everybody, im about to by a 94 laser with some 18's and a kit.....clean and everything....but the motor is a non turbo 2.0 16v....and it says "Hyundai" on it? does anybody have the specs for this motor? it it the same just newer? the guy said it was a "cyclone" motor....just a little help plz! =) thanks!

The valve covers from hyundai's fit them. They are the same motors with different internals.

Also, do a search for cyclone. I dont know what the difference is but I dont think its much.

Hyundai has a DOHC 2.0l 4g63 motor called G4CP. They also have SOCH 2.4l called the G4CS. Both came from Sonata's from 89-92. IIRC, The Elantra up till 95 had the G4CP too..

Was that elantra g4cs up to 95 a 6 bolt?

The Sonata had the G4CS, not the Elantra. And I believe that they manufacturered the G4CS in the Sonata from 89-92, but the 89-90 crank is a bit different than the 91-92 (different stroke lengths, IIRC)
