Instrument panel lights out
Hi guys,
My g/f has a 98 corolla and recently her intrument panel and gear shift lights have gone out. I've checked every fuse behind the storage bin and the 3 boxes inside the engine bay with no success. Anyone have any ideas on this one? She's leaving on a trip upstate this weekend and I wouldn't like her to have to guess her speed in the dark. TIA |

I know its late, but the dimmer switch for the interior lights could be shot.

Could be loose wiring connections to the instrument panel lights. Does it on mine and I give it a whack and it comes back on lol. But maybe you should see an auto sparkie about it.

Re: Instrument panel lights out
Hi,
I have the same problem, the instrument lights are out! I checked all the fuses, seem to be fine. Also, when I open the hood, the lights in instrument panel come on for a brief time, so the fuses and light bulbs should be fine. My suspicion is that the dimmer control for instrument panel is shot. Anybody has an idea about how I can make sure that is the problem. I don't want to change the dimmer control only to realize that it's not the problem ![]() Thanks!
