Re: Pulling my hair out

Chemistry is simple, if you mix this with this, you get a toxic reaction or explosion

Well, hope you get a hang of it soon Jer, you don't have alot of hair to lose.

Re: Pulling my hair out

I hated chemistry. At first, I wanted to be a pharmacist but hated chemistry too much!

Re: Pulling my hair out

I just think since we had our first class with our books. The books were back ordered. It is making since but when your teacher is a chemist he tends to teach alil higher curriculum than what we are all use to. This guy is smart, use to run a lab. I am going to see if he would not mid tutoring just so I can get the hang of it. It will come around....

EDIT- and to top the night off. I was studying at work and we got a Ambulance call for cp. Get the pt. form medics no IV and the guy decided to go in to v-fib and shock and brought him back. So what a way to finish off the night. Not very often do you get a code save. like 97% of codes stay dead...

Re: Pulling my hair out

Personally, I thought chemistry was easy. I think most sciences are easy. But that's because I find them fascinating and have an interest in them. Its easy to stumble on something that you don't give a shit about. That's why most people hate math, because they don't really care about math. But I'm asian, so I was practically born knowing this stuff.

Re: Pulling my hair out

The only thing I found interesting about Chemistry is when I saw an L next to a number with a decimal.. so I would be looking at a page and it would say "5.7L" and I automatically was thinking "mmm... v8.."

I like it and I do find it very interesting. But I have not taken any math since my soph year of high school and did not do to good in bio and never took chem. So it will just take some time getting back on the band wagon again.

Re: Pulling my hair out

Organic Chem is definitly not my favorite, but it's only as difficult as you make it. It all makes sense if you really think about it. And it is very interesting, I agree. I have to take it too, I can't wait. It was my favorite class in high school and now I have to take it again for college.

Any class takes focus and studying, people who say chem and math suck aren't trying hard enough. I'm in your shoes right now with math, because I'm in a much harder college now than community college so I know exactly how you feel. But remember that it's GOOD for you!

Re: Pulling my hair out

Chemistry and Algorithms were not my fav classes. Test were like "Create algoritm for given calculus therom, then prove mathmatically beyond doubt".. PITA. The highest average score on my algorithm class was a 45, but luckily there was a curve.

Re: Pulling my hair out

Haha, I had a hell of a time just passing college algebra. I went to a sucky ass high school and learned absolutely nothing about math. A score of 50% was required to pass the final exam, I luckily made 51%. I studied the whole semester, did all my work, had help, and it was still horrible. I couldn't imagine anything like you guys are taking :/
