96 neon fuel gauge dosen't work
1996 neon sohc 2.0 the fuel gauge reads full for a while then in 5 miles it says 3/4 tank and so on and son on till 20 miles and is back to empty how to fix it cheap

I disassembled the cluster and resoldered everything. i think you should only have to resolder the loints for the 2 wiring hrness conectors though.....Seems to be working now....time will tell....as it was an intermittened problem....good luck ...... Valcon69

yup I did the re-solder thing too and my fuel gauge dont work either. I was told you cant buy just the sending unit. You have to buy the fuel pump assembly which is like $210 at autozone. If anyone else knows where I can buy just the sending unit please email me or IM me and let me know. Thank you. I travel alot and hard to drive far without fuel gauges working properly and not have to stop every 200 miles to top off.
