Question super fine detail

ive been really tinkin about getting super fine, or just fine detail done to my cars, like really perfect interior detail, and engine detail. some of the cars i see on this board have such detail and the painted lines are perfect, so what your secrets?? do you guys use a certain size brush? or maybe something other than a brush? please fill us in on your secrets

i have some of those little tiny pointy brushes and the are great for engine and interior detail, if you just use a little bit of paint on the tip its very nice its takes a while to finish but you wont have any running paint or anything, the brushes are the testors ones for like 2 dollars a piece!

The airbrush, the airbrush! Your model making will improve 500% if you get an airbrush.

Well during the night some magic fairys come in and use their magic fairy dust all over my models and in the morning my cars are all super detailed and painted!! Yeah thats the ticket!!:finger:

Seriously though-a lot of it is pratice. I have destroyed plenty of models in the past and most likly in the future tring new ways of doing stuff and tring details. Its hit or miss a lot of times.

Most detail can be done with a very fine brush and by masking .
Another is using a paint pen which well give you nice clean lines.
The Supra i'm doing at the moment has had most of the black in the engine bay done with a marker pen.

when it comes to engine detailing, i research a lot in my last project which is the r32, i collected and prnted about 40 differend pics of the engine i gathered from the net

i suggest you bash broken electronic devices at home... i tell ya you will find lots of goodies you can use to detail model engines
