Help with a 90' honda civic fuel system!!!!!!!!!

okay well this is new. i tried takeing the gas can off of my friend 90' honda civic. i removed a bolt on the top of the gas tank farthest to the back. the bolt had a hole running through the middle of it and had another about three quarters of the way up. the bolt held inplace what i am guessing is the hose that sucks the gas from the tank. as when i put the bolt back in and attempted to drive gas was leaking everwhere. i'd missed a washer. we tightened it back up fixed the leak but now the car dosent seem to be getting any gas at all. please help!!!!!

well, can you hear the fuel pump kicking on, aka did you remember to plug it back in after dropping the tank. Also check to make sure you have no kinked hoses.

i'll check the hoses. the one i removed though it had a piece at the end that fit around the bolt i was talking about. all the others were connected and held with a clip. what should i be listening for??
