Re: New Clutch

def. take it easy for a lil while...i'm not exactly sure...but i'd say a few hundred miles just to be safe...almost like a new engine/brakes(brakes are a much shorter time span tho)

Re: New Clutch

its usually a break in time of about 2 weeks. just dont race it for a while. just drive it normally, dont rev too high, and dont drop the clutch

Re: New Clutch

depends....if its a performance clutch u can do what you want to it, its ment to take abuse

i got a Spec Stage 1 Clutch and it picked up pretty nicely....but i rode on it hard within the same mile it was installed, literally was spinnin wheels out of his driveway and i never had any problems with it

Re: New Clutch

is it true that when you upgrade to performance clutch, your clutch pedal would be a little harder??my friend has civic and that's what happened to him, since we have hydraulic clutch will it have effect on the pedals??I'm looking over ACT clutch kit.If I'll upgrade mine, what do I have to buy??

Re: New Clutch

Yeah, im pretty sure the higher stage you get, the harder it is to push in.

Re: New Clutch

wrong....the strength/weakness hardness/softness of the clutch petal wont change unless you adjust it...(i dont know what the word is for adjusting it but its a chord or string or wire or sumtin like that...(someone adjusted mine))

a performance clutch will change the sensitivity of your clutch petal tho, the higher the stage, the jerkier the ride when driving normally
