Instrument panel/ A.C. control button lights

Hi everyone,

What button lights on your a.c. control panel are lit when your headlights are one and your dimmer lights are up (at night). On my car my "Econ", "Auto", front defogger, "Amb" and up/down are not lit.

Are they supposed to be lit?

Please, let me know because I am wondering if something is wrong, or is it just a light bulb.

Thanks,

Geoff.

Actually, there are screw lights behind the a.c. control. I found the information at www.fuzzycats.com.

I will replace them and confirm.

Thanks anyway.

you can save a crap load of money if you just trust what we say. they will only light up when you press them. they light up to indicate if they are in use or not.

Re: Instrument panel/ A.C. control button lights

The ones that are not in use still do not illuminate when they are in use. It won't be that expensive to change the bulbs. I just ordered them for 1.47 USD each from my local infiniti dealer. 4 bulbs = 5.88 USD.

I have taken the a.c. contol off before to install an aftermarket stereo.

It isn't that hard and not that expensive. And again. When the a.c./heater is in use, the non-illuminated buttons don't light up.

Here is the article:

http://www.fuzzycats.com/docs/ac_controls_bulbs.pdf

Check it out.

Thanks,

Geoff.

P.s.

If it works, I will post a reply to let you know.

Re: Instrument panel/ A.C. control button lights

Hi everyone,

I changed the bulbs behind the climate control panel and the illumination is back to normal. I paid $6.00 for the bulbs (1.49/ea. +tax)

Swimshark:

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear on my original post. I was talking about the button illumination that comes on when the headlights are on that is activated by the dimmer control and not the L.E.D. indicator light that lights up when the button is pressed for on.

Sorry.

However, the illumination is fixed now. It was all a five minute job and now when the headlights are on, the button illumination is back.

My hazard does not light up though when in use or when off.
