Unhappy not a clue

I was wonderin if anyone could give me a hand. i want to get a new shifter knob for my car cause my old one is all worn. i was wonderin how you get it off.

twist it counter clock wise (to the left) thats what every one told me

yah i figured it out after. mine was just on there really tight. i was sure that was how you got it off but last time i tried turning a shifter knob like that i broke the insides of it so i wasn't sure if that was how you do it or not. thx
